New Plugin: WP-Domainer!

Just cranked out a new plugin today that might benefit domainers using WordPress to develop their names. This one does one thing so far: it places a customizable message at the very top of the page.

You can have it display anything you like. Typically, you might use “This Domain Is For Sale at MyPhatPortfolio.com”.

Download the Plugin here, extract and upload to your WordPress plugins folder. The configuration page is under the Settings menu. Enjoy!

You can see WP-Domainer in action at:

WordPress Plugin for Managing Favicons?

Is there one? I tried to find one, but after a little searching I gave up and wrote on myself. I use it to manage the favicons on my WordPress MU installs — favicons for each site can be uploaded to one folder and then ‘picked up’ by a little WordPress magic.

If you’re interested in getting it, just post a comment here… if there’s demand, I’ll clean it up and release it. Thanks! :)

UPDATE

By Popular Demand, I’ve uploaded the plugin here: http://dropbuzz.com/get-wpmu-favicons/

Cream Off The Top or Cinnamon Sludge?

I’ve registered a bunch of names off the daily domain drop since last posting here, mostly over latte drinks, etc… I’ve refunded a lot back too — names that seemed like the tasty frothy milk foam at the top, but ended up feeling like the over-spicy sludge that ends up at the bottom of the mug…

Oh, well. I continue to develop eBay stores using my WP-EasyStore plugin. More nice enhancements coming soon. I’m also working on a GEO theme for my city/tourism domains.

Here are some names I’ve recently caught (and kept):

  • OccultOnline.com
  • ScriptureNews.com – for balance ;)
  • GeoRevolution.com
  • SudokuTime.com – need to find a cheap game developer, or borrow one
  • SkullShop.com – the theme is looking better now
  • GuyFlicks.com – need to use the Amazon feed better
  • iVatican.com – prime GEO with the “i”, hey even the Pope could use his own iPhone application!
  • KnightStore.com – another WP-EasyStore shop
  • BeverlyHillsPreSchools.com – Yikes! A little long…
  • AlternativeBlogs.com – going to use the same application template a my PopupNews.com

There were some more, but these are a pretty good representation… :)

WP-EasyStore v0.04 Is Available With Amazon Support

The WP-EasyStore Plugin version 0.04 adds basic support for Amazon search results. You can see an example at Knight Minatures.

ShortCode tags can be used inside Posts or Pages to show Amazon products. Here’s an example:

[wpeasyamsearch key="knights" type="list"]

I’ve setup of new DropBuzz.com Forum to handle support for the plugin as well as providing recipes, how-to’s, trip & tricks, etc…

The WP-EasyStore Plugin is STILL ONLY $12. Buy it Now to get the instant download!

WP-EasyStore Update Coming Soon

Very soon — maybe even tonight :) — I’ll have an update to the WP-EasyStore, renamed from “WP-Easy”, that will do a couple new tricks. The big addition is the ability to do display basic Amazon search products. Hang tight!

I just switched this blog over to new hosting so some links may not quite work yet, please bear with me!
